I did a double-take when I saw this, because I’m in the middle of reading Michael Cunningham’s Specimen Days, which centers (in Cunningham’s own, unique way) on Whitman. I can tell that quote in all its forms is going to be haunting me for the next month.
Ooh, you’ll have to tell me how the Cunningham book is — I’ve been really curious about it. (I read and liked The Hours, but haven’t read anything else of his.)
Also, I love Whitman. And I love zombies! So hey.
